In 2017, Brenton Pavey set up a desk in his home office, opened a laptop, and got to work. Dream Financing was born.
Brenton’s path into finance was always going to happen. His father had built a career in broking, and that example left a mark. But before Brenton followed in those footsteps, he spent years in a very different world — managing food and beverage operations for a large hotel chain. It was high-pressure, fast-moving work, and it shaped him in ways that still show up every day. He holds a Bachelor of Business, but it was those years on the floor that gave him the composure and the resilience that define him as a broker. No matter how complex the deal, no matter how tight the timeline, his clients will tell you the same thing: Brenton is cool as a cucumber.
When he made the move into broking, he brought all of that with him — the discipline, the relationship skills, and an unshakeable commitment to getting the best possible outcome for every single client. From that home office in 2017, he built something real.
Two years in, Brenton was joined by his wife, Jordan — and that decision is what transformed Dream Financing from a broking business into something far more powerful.
Jordan has spent over 20 years in accounting. She started as a cadet straight out of school, worked her way through her degree, earned her CA qualification, and built a deep specialty in taxation and long-term wealth strategy. She had mentored junior accountants, led teams, and become exactly the kind of trusted adviser that clients return to year after year.
When she joined Brenton, she brought all of that with her — and she saw clearly what the business needed. Clients were getting great lending advice, but no one was connecting the dots on the tax, the structure, and the long-term strategy sitting behind it. Jordan built the accounting arm of Dream Financing from the ground up to do exactly that.
The impact was immediate and it was lasting. For the first time, clients had a broker and an accountant working as one team — not two separate professionals giving advice in isolation, but two people who shared the same client file, asked the same questions, and built strategy together. That is not something you find at most firms. It became the reason clients stayed, the reason they referred their friends, and honestly, the reason we are able to make this announcement today.
Then, in February this year, the team grew again.
Frances joined as a co-owner on the accounting side, and from the moment she arrived, it was clear she belonged. Frances brings a wealth of knowledge in small business accounting, taxation, and SMSF strategy, built over years working in North Brisbane’s accounting community — including hands-on experience managing a team within an established firm. She understands the pressures small business owners face because she has spent her career sitting beside them.
What makes the Jordan and Frances partnership work so well goes beyond their combined expertise. Their personalities complement each other in the way the best professional partnerships always do — and together they bring a balance of technical depth, strategic thinking, and genuine client care that is rare to find in a firm of any size, let alone one as personal as ours.
And that brings us to today.
Dream Financial Group is not a new business. It is the name that finally matches the business we have already become. “Dream Financing” was the right name when lending was our sole focus. But we have grown — into a full-service financial firm where broking, accounting, tax planning, and SMSF strategy sit together, delivered by a team that works side by side every single day.
The new name reflects our maturity. It reflects our dedication to both accounting and finance. And it reflects the belief that has driven every decision we have made since 2017 — that our clients deserve a team that looks at the whole picture, not just one corner of it.
